Farmall 230 PTO ?

I have a 1956 Farmall 230 that I was using for cutting some field land with a bush hog. Everything was working great and cutting good. I disengaged the pto for what ever reason, and now nothing will engage or disengage for that matter. When I let out the clutch, the engine revs like it is still in gear but the tractor does not move. This happens whether it is in gear or not. Also, the pto will not engage and the lever seems to be stuck in the disengaged position. So, the engine revs like it is in gear whether it is in gear or not and the trator does not move, and the pto is stuck and also does not move when the clutch is let out. Any help would be greatly appreciated so I can get my tractor out of the middle of the field. Thanks everyone.

Sounds like you either tore the center out of the clotch,or stripped the input shaft/clutch disk splines. A 'split' will be
nessesary. Hook a chain to it and drag it out of the field.

Or what he means by "revs" is the governor opening the carb and it is stuck in 2 gears. Pull the top off of the reans, or the stick out of the tower, and align the rails to the center front to back. There may be a sloppy shifter kit on Ebay. The ball on the end might also be worn. Weld it up and grind it round again to fit the rails. I hope it is stuck in two gears. Jim
