Farmall A with 100 steering post/Guage cluster

So after wondering around a tractor show for a while I realize the farmall a I've been mowing my lawn with for 3 years has a steering post and instrument cluster from a 100 on it. I've been wanting to order a battery box but I guess is a good thing I haven't as the one from the a probably won't look right with that. Well a battery box for a 100 fit the a with that post and instrument cluster or are there more differences that will effect fit? I'd like to do a nice working restoration on this tractor. Keyword being working, originality don't bother me much on this one as it has a 12v alternator and a pto driven hyd pump on it for the lift on the belly mower, but I wanna make sure it will fit right with the rest of the tractor before blowing 150 bucks on the battery box to find out I should of replaced the existing steering post and cluster with the correct a stuff.

The battery box for the 100 mounts different than the one for an A. So if an A is what you have get the box for an A or B as they are the same.

I do have an A but with a steering post/instrument cluster from a 100 there for the A/B now will not fit right.

On the farmall 100 it looks like the instrument cluster is what closes off the back side of the battery box. Looks like the box for the 100 is 3 panels and a lid. That would be the one I need to work with my steering post and instrument cluster but I'm worried about other differences making it not work.

I don't know why its there, I'd have to ask the previous owners of the tractors history. It has a steering post/instrument cluster from a 100 though. To revert back to the a battery box fit I'd need to buy an A steering post and A instrument cluster. It would be cheaper to keep the 100 stuff and just buy the battery box ifor it fits. I'm just not sure of mounting holes on the torque tube being different or if anything is different on the gas tank side.

Post some good pictures of what you have Kevin. Over all pictures and some closeups.

This is the best I can do until tomorrow
