350 engine blocks

Would anyone be able to tell me if a diesel block will work in place of a gas block?

Or where in the world would a guy find a complete 350 gas engine?
Thanks

What exactly are you looking for? I'm confused what you are asking. A farmall 350 with a c169 engine or a 350 engine in a super wd9.

Looking at building an H pulling tractor. Haven't found a motor to start with, but found a farmall 350 diesel block, didn't know if that would interchange with the gas block or not.
And then also, where could I find a complete 350 engine? All the salvage yards I called didn't have anything.

The diesel is made by Continental. It has absolutey no interchangable parts, and is rather unique to a short run of the F350 350U series. There should be usable 350 gas blocks, but shipping could/will add to the cost. Jim

No. A 350 diesel uses a Continental diesel engine, unlike the gas tractors that used an IH engine. The parts for the Continental diesel are a bit harder to find.

So apparently a 350 dieselhas a continental motor and not an IH motor, so I guess those won't swap. So back to the second question, how hard is it going to be to find a complete long block c-175 motor or a c-169 motor.

Shawn I have a c169 or most of it , this engine was in a 300 utility and stuck, it has been dis assembled and dry stored . Should you be interested call me at 318-542-0896.

I am pretty sure if you can find a good 300 block, 350 pistons & sleeves will fit with no over boring. If I remember correctly ( always dangerous) the only difference in the sleeves is wall thickness.

I have a good running C-169 long block with c-175 pistons and sleeves for around $650 if interested. I'm located in east central Wisconsin.
