Farmall 340 Row Crop

I recently bought a Farmall 340 Row Crop.
Nice little tractor, but hard to get on.
Any ideas for a mounting step on one side or the other?
Thanks,
Bill

I have front mount cultivator on mine so I can get on and off. I also have a homemade step on a 240 that bolts to the torque tube and under the floor board .

For me it is easier to get on/off of my Farmall 240 than my Farmall 340. It seems I can get the seat on the 240 back farther than on the 340 so my right foot can cross over between the shift lever and the seat. On both tractors I fabricated a bracket using some 1/2 inch x 2 1/2 or 3 inch flat bar with a gusset and welded a right brake pedal for the actual step. Both mount to a bolt already in the torque tube or transmission case, 5/8 or 3/4 inch IIRC. Height wise that extra step is mounted about half way between the ground and the factory foot rest. It sure helps this old body with arthritis get on and off. Pictures available upon request but I cannot figure out how to post them in a reply here.
