Does anyone make reproduction tanks for a Farmall 100? I know you can seal the old tank but never tried to do it. How much trouble is it. I found 1 tank local but he is wanting 275 to 300 dollars for it. mine is not leaking but does have a big dent next to the filler hole is pretty rusted inside. o yea the guy that has the one at the salvage yard said it needed cleaning and sealed. he said it might be no better then what i have.

Muriatic acid will clean out the rust and crud. A clean tank does not need any kind of sealer or liner. Getting that dent out might require the expertise of a good body and fender man, but it can be done.

His price is out of sight yours can be made like new again the dent can be filled and look just like new again. You must be restoring or you wouldnt care about a dent in the gas tank.Is the rest of the tractor going to be original.

Nope not restoring ,just want to get it running again ,took the tank off one time and cleaned it but it sit a few years and there is a lot of rust in it.think i will take it off again and clean it and see i can get running so i can use the bush hog to cut a couple of acres of bottom land about 2 times a year. how ever i would love to have a nice cub just because i think they are pretty.
