First of all I am no authority of engine block repair (Cracks, etc). Recently I came across a Farmall H for sale that apparently ran a couple years back. The owner according to neighbors is away for a while and anyone interested in the tractor is to ask them about it.
Anyway, the tractor upon inspection appears to be mostly good condition, no evident bad leaks, rust, or anything of that nature. Still has 6V system. But my biggest concern is on the left-hand side of the engine block. As you can see it has some sort of repair done to it. I believe from the sounds of it the repair was done BEFORE the current owner of the tractor, who has as I said run it fairly recently.
Is this a reason to be concerned or to move on to look for something better? Anyone here regularly or semi-regularly operate tractors with similar repair done to the block? I know none of this is of much help, and I will try to get more information on the repair as soon as I can.
