I have just over-hauled the motor on a farmall C (vated block and cylinder head, bored out and sleved) The whole nine yards. All spark plugs will fire and values adjusted proper however
the #1 ( the cylinder closest to the driver seat) won't hit or fire, have intake off now and it's clear of obstructions.

I'm confused.

The engine is numbered from the front (radiator) to rear. The normal location (from the back looking forward) is #1 at 2:00 (o'clock) #3 at 5, #4 at 8, and #2
at 10 o'clock. Jim

Well I can already see what your problem is. The #1 cylinder is NOT the one closest to the drivers seat. That is the #4 cylinder. If you switch the plug wires
appropriately then I'd be willing to say it will run just fine. Also, the Firing Order is 1-3-4-2. Both of these are case on pretty much all of the old Farmall 4 cylinder
engines, and they are even cast into the block on the spark plug side of the engine.

Also, was the magneto removed and if so was it installed and timed correctly? Let us know how you make out.

If thats the only one that doesent fire either have a bad plug or the wire the cycl you are talking about is #4 as thats the rear one you described. As other post have said #1 is front. You must have the wires on correct or more cycls would not fire. either wire or plug is bad.
