Super A carb problems?

I'm having a problem that just started last week. I can start and run my Super A for about 10 minutes and then it starts to act like its starving for fuel. It starts to surge and buck. It seems to only continue to happen under a load. When I push in the clutch it seems to recover and will idle normally. I noticed there appears to be gas leaking through what appears to be a weep hole in the bottom of the Marvel Schebler carb when it isn't running. Do i have some junk in the carb? Maybe a rebuild? This tractor has run flawlessly since i've had it, almost 2 years. Don't have much experience with carburators. Any help would be appreciated.

Gas running out the weephole means the fuel bowl is runniong over float is sticking or set too high as somethng is making fuell run from drain hole.

Sounds like the float is going bad or you have some junk in the carb which is clogging the needle seat so the float cannot shut off the gas like it should. I would pull the carb drain plug and let some gas flow. Catch the gas so as to make sure you find some dirt/rust etc in the gas. Or the float maybe sticking or going bad and the only way to know if it s a bad float or sticking is to open the carb up

I pulled the carb off. Had some junk in the screen, but otherwise all seems to be ok with it. Still having same problem. Could it be a problem with the governor? I see a few bolts on the governor. May an adjustment be all it needs? When it seems to want to stall the linkage between the governor and the carb moves. That leads me to believe it could be the governor. Any suggestions?

The symptoms you describe are NOT governor related.

You have a fuel delivery issue. Might be in the carburetor, but start by making sure there is nothing floating around in the fuel tank, and then clean the sediment bowl. The gas cap is vented. Sometimes that little vent hole becomes clogged. If air cannot get in, fuel cannot get out, so try running the tractor with gas cap either loose, or remove it entirely. If that cures it, you need to replace the cap. If none of that cures the issue, THEN it is time to open up the carburetor.

Is the needle seat good and tight and has the correct gasket under it?? If you hold the carb right side up then turn it up side down can you hear the float move??

Something else you might try is this. If you can pull the sir tube between the carb and air cleaner and while it is running put your hand over the air intake of the carb. Do not hold it there long enough to kill the engine. If you have some junk in the carb sometimes doing tha twill be enough to fix the problem with it not running like it should. Had that problem with an A/C WD45 yesterday and holding my hand over the carb intake fixed it
