Diesel Tech and other's, years ago when u could buy a Turbo kit for a 806 from M@W Gear Co, in the kit, was another leaf spring for the pump, so was that leaf spring to give it more fuel, less, or what was it suppose to do?

Probably thinner to increase roller to roller
dimension allowing more fuel delivery.

If your pump is good you don't need the new spring. Just go in the top cf the pump and turn the screw down a little.

The leaf spring was to allow for increased roller to roller spec for more fuel delivery at full load. Stanadyne has four different springs available, depending on the range of adjustment needed, 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, and 7.3. Whatever you do on any spring DON'T tighten the screw completely down and leave it there, always back it off a bit or there's a risk of the screw head breaking off and wrecking the pump.
