The smaller hydraulic oil levers to the right of the seat, next to the pto lever are leaking. How is the best way to stop the leaks? I do not want to mess something else up in the process. Thanks old stoner

You will want a parts breakdown or manual, because the only way to know for sure will have the valves off, and the block assembly separated. You may not need to pull the spools out of the blocks, and be warned- dirt and debris introduced directly into the spool area is very damaging.

I have become extremely fond of digital cameras and phone cameras, and take about ten times as many pictures as I think I need. I usually have just enough pictures to bail out my failing memory.

How many levers do you have? I am aware of four configurations, from no levers (no hydraulics) to three levers. If you have two or three levers, there is a connector tube, and there are o-rings sandwiched between all of the valve blocks and castings. There may also be two hoses mounted on the bottom of the valve block assembly. Do you have power steering? Lots of places to leak.

If the o-rings are failed and needing to be replaced, I find it to be one of the most satisfying fixes around because the parts are so inexpensive as to be almost free, and the reward is so great!

I am getting rather old and creaky, and find it easier to pull the fender, and if the tractor has spin outs, take the rim all the way out. Happy wrenching!
