How to replace bearing.

Can anyone tell me how to replace the bearing on the Bull Pinion & Brake shaft on a 826 Farmall.Does the axle housing need to come off? If so after all the bolts are out of the housing does the axle and housing come out or are there items inside that need to be disconnected.

Bull gear needs to be dropped out of the way.

You have to pull rear axle housing to do it right. I have heard of driving inside cone off bull pinion in a emergency situation like out in the field but that is not the way for a quality repair.

I was able to pull the bad bearing off with a puller,and heated the new bearing to two hundred degrees and it slid right on.
