fuel; pump on T6

I have a T6 Crawler with electric fuel pump. It is not original, was wondering if I could bypass the fuel pump and just use gravity feed to the carb? Does anyone have any ideas on this. I think the electric fuel pump is pushing to much fuel to the carb. Previous owner put it on.
Thanks for comments and thoughts

It might stop going up hill with no pump. I would put a fuel pressure regulator, or a pump with 2# or less output pressure. JC Whitney has the regulators cheap. Jim

T6 originally had a mechanical fuel pump that was mounted on the left side below the carburetor and ran off the camshaft.
So either it may not be functional or not there. If the engine had been replaced with one from an M it would not have a place for the original.
Like Jim said, you will need a supply pump of some kind or you will run out of fuel going up hill.
