Farmall Super A hand crank mount

I am looking for a picture or information on how to mount the hand crank onto the bracket located on top of the transmission. Does the hand crank lay flat on top the transmission housing, or does it hang down
along side the transmission housing towards the floor pan? in either case, which end of the crank goes where?

Here how the bracket is mounted . I turn my crank around with handle laying on top of rear end just behind trans. cover.

On our Super A, the clip that holds the crank is bolted on the left side, left of the shifter. The crank is clipped in with the handle pointing to the rear and leaned against the left fender. Been that way since the 60's for sure and likely since new.

Also, on ours, I don't think the crank could even be mounted as shown in the picture above, since on our Super A it has a different "dash" arrangement/battery box than shown, with the hydro-touch controls there too... The one in the pic looks like a straight A.

The clip on all A and Super A tractors was originally as shown in D Beatty's picture. On hand crank tractors, the crank fitted as in the picture. The Super A dash (and I think the A battery box) kept the crank from fitting that way. The crank was typically turned the other way and the handle rested on the left fender.
