My friend says he has a 340 Diesel. I never heard of one before. could this be true? Thanks for your reply. Joe

The Farmall 340 diesel (D-166), 460 diesel (D-236), and 560 (D-282) all have the same bore but not the same stroke. A 560 piston will not work in a 340. Don't ask me how I know! The center of wrist pin to top of piston measurement is about 3/16 inch different between the two engines.
