Put those 3/8th bolts back in holding the back plate on, and pull the whole rear unit. The unit comes apart from the other end that is inside yet. If total disassembly is required, you will need some pullers etc. Heavy, heavy, I used to lift them out all the time but I could not do that anymore.

I meant to pull the whole rear unit out the back and then the unit comes apart by working on the front of the unit. Nothing more needs to come off, just grab hold of the unit and pull it out. You have way too many bolts out now as those smaller bolts hold the unit together and the long bolts hold the unit in the tractor.

DRAIN THE REAR END OIL FIRST OR YOU WILL HAVE A MESS!

I hope you did that already.

If it doesn't want to come out it's probably just stuck on the gasket.

Slip a 2' long piece of pipe over the pto shaft. That gives you some leverage to control the unit. It's HEAVY, so get help.
