Prestolite distributor on my 450

My distributor on my 450 is a Prestolite. Was this common, or did someone change it out? The replacement cap, points, rotor I ordered are for a IH, none of it fits. Does anyone know what model prestolite fits this tractor so I can get the right parts? Its frustrating ordering parts and none of it fits. Rookie mistake I guess.

Thanks guys.

As far as I can tell, the Parts Catalog only lists an IH distributor. A photo of what you have would be helpful.

Prestolite was an aftermarket replacement distributor. We got one for the M from C e n t r a l Tractor many many years ago when the IH distributor wore out and grenaded.

The parts book for the C-123 engine shows the Prestolite distributor too. It appears that it came on late 140 tractors.

NAPA has the parts for the Prestolite distributor.

Cap: ECH AL165
Rotor: ECH AL150
Condenser: ECH AL868
Points: ECH CS729A

note, item #1 70925c1 distr. cap and rotor, to order just the rotor order part no. a44430 djo 4/29/98

Been changed, came with a IH distributor or a magneto if specified. Gasoline used a N symbol distributor with 25 degree total advance at crankshaft when engine was at full RPM.
