The clutch lining are about a hundred thousands thick, is that acceptable, but i cant get the clutch assembly teeth and linings to go into the drum what did i do wrong, I got the first set of teeth in is all.

I rebuilt the live clutch on my MH, I think I ended up assembling it in place so it would line up correctly.

I "think" I ended up doing that way because I did not have a pilot, attached the springs once it was all together.

You could put it all together if you have the piece out the transmission.

Multi disk clutches are usually assembled one disk at a time. The clearances are such that a minor displacement stopps progress. Jim

stacking them using a small straight rod to align them befor putting it together might work. Both the external splines and the internal. Jim

(quoted from post at 22:10:53 07/24/16) But Jim i cants get the end bearing apart either to slide them on one at a time

If you can't get the bearings off just quit till you get it figured out.

If they are bad you will just have more trouble.

Also .100 is completly worn out, i think they should be .250.

Steel plates are around .090 i think.

Lastly you assemble into the drum laying flat on the bench, lock the pack, remove from drum, assemble drum, then slide assembly in.

Hay Kevin, Maybe i misspoke , but the thinner of the two item's that make up the clutch are .100 !! And the bearing, i got to pound on that backwards to unscrew it ??
