Ok so I bought a new carb tractor acts like its not getting gas. It will pop like its trying to start and some times it will start for a few min. I open the plug at bottom of carb and I have good flow. could it be electrical and not fuel. any help would be apppreciated

It is sure possible. If you have not set the point gap do so now. Remove the distributor cap (mag or coil ignition) and look at the rotor position. Turn the
engine with the spark turned off till the rotor points directly to where the #1 cap terminal is located (mark its location with a marker with the cap on). remove
the rotor. Remove the dust cap if it has one. Remove the rotor plate if a mag. Look at the distributor cam and note where the cam is in relation to the points
rubbing block. Move the engine enough to get one of the cam lobes under the rubbing block so the points are as open as they can be. If a mag, the setting is
.013" if a coil distributor, .020". Make sure they are clean and shiny. If pitted or lumpy or black, replace them. Return the engine to the place it was
before you put the cam on the rubbing block. Re assemble (with the mag rotor where it was pointing!!!!) if this is no joy, let us know. Jim

Is that the same problem you had with the old carb if it runs for a few min then stops its runn9ing out of fuel so when it stops is that when you still get fuel out of the carb. When you remove the drain plug let it run for a couple min you could also have a bad vented cap or restriction at the tanks outlet where sediment bowl is. What and how long does it take for the engine to start again after it stops.

If the gap is right, the next step I would take is to choke it as it begins to die. If it helps, it is carb/fuel related most likely. If no joy, it could be a
failing mag coil, or humidity taking spark to grouns before the rotor, or in the cap. A good place for WD40 is in a wet distributor cap. Jim

Check those points, the adjustment can slip, the rubbing block can wear, (needs a dab of grease) and it needs to be good to test further. Spark must be 1/4 or
more and hot blue to be successful. Pull a wire off of a plug and use a wooden clothspin to attach it away from the plug contact and so you can see the spark.

I'll check that out first thing in the morning wife says I'm done for the day thanks for the help I will let you know what I find

You say you replaced the condenser that just mite be the problem if it only runs a little then dies and you have feul. Put the old cond back in and try again new conds are prone to not be of the best quality. Where did you get it. If not Blue Streak or Echlin chances are its probably bad.
