Hello JimB2,
(Did this gentleman's issue get resolved.?)
I'm in a similar situation where all of a sudden the PTO won't engage. The lever/linkage assembly appear to operate correctly, as
the valve/boot on the MCV moves in/out with the lever action. I recently changed the hydraulic filter (not sure this had
ever been done) and a leaking hydraulic line, but the PTO has been engaged/disengaged several times since then as I've
mowed our fields twice. All other hydraulic functions work fine, power steering, 3-pt hitch lift, etc.
I'm going to pry that rubber boot and see if I can some Super WD-40 in there... The lever "feels" like it's not fully
pushing in the PTO valve/boot assembly.ie.. It doesn't feel "free" when engaging/disengaging the PTO. Feels like it's "gunked-up".
Wish me luck!!
