Unless that M has a magneto, there is no kill switch. There IS an ignition on/off switch, but that would be the same as the original 6 volt system. IF the M has a magneto, DO NOT connect battery voltage to it. The magneto coil will be destroyed in a heartbeat.

No need to change the "Kill" switch when switching from 6 volts to 12 volts.
If your switch is bad, get another with the same number of prongs - 1-prong switch grounds out the mag and a 2-prong switch shuts off power to the coil.

what i need to know is where does the switch mount? the rats have done in most of the wiring and the old switch is missing. the amp gauge, light switch, and fuze holder are still there but no ing/kill switch

There is a hole on the bracket holding the hy rod down next to the steering post its the one next to the post other hole was for the crank that opened the shutters.

Gene, i found the hole you were talking about. I robbed a switch off an old parts tractor this weekend. just trying to round up a few things. my dad bought a fence row M for parts so now i have to try to get his M back running
