C-153 as a replacement in B

I recently came across a very nice C-153 engine and plan on putting it in my Grand-daughters "B" for pulling. It was a combine engine and I will have to have the crank drilled for the pilot shaft bearing, does anyone know right off what size and how deep it will have to be machined? Also, looking on this site, they only have overhaul parts for the 504 diesel engine, can't find a kit for the gas. The bearing surfaces are all standard and it has the fire crater pistons, I would need bearings, rings and gasket set - where do I find them? I've checked Steiners and TISCO to no avail. Any advice for locating these parts would be appreciated.

You really do not have to have a pilot holt in the crank, what I did was cut the drive shaft off to the correct length, have a bearing mounted in the flywheel to stabilize the shaft to take the place of pilot bearing been pulling mine now for 3 years with no problems.

I see your earlier post on the sleeve in the flywheel, when you cut the shaft back, does the splines ride in the sleeve or did you put a bearing in the sleeve that fit the drive shaft with splines. This is a first for me and may be asking some stupid questions. Any help is appreciated.

I always had the ones I did drilled to the same depth as the original. It cost very little for a shop to do it, $20 per I recall. O'Reillys always managed to get the necessary parts. gm

No the splines do not ride in the flywheel hole area. It really is a good fit just make sure you measure twice before cutting but if I remember right when I made that old post did I show how much I cut off?
