Regarding post below about 656 tires

Yes, but they will be a bit narrow. 15.5 call for 14 inch wide rim, 16.9 on 15 inch, and 18.4 on 16 inch. I have a worn set of 16.9 X 38 radials to put on my 560 in place of the 15.5s on now for tractor drive use..

Oh,they'll 'fit',but wont look quite right. They will be 'bowed' in,and will tend to prematurely wear on the center lug.

I have a set of 16.9 on 14 inch rims. Bow out barely noticeable. Think of it this way. 18.4 tires on 16 inch rims have a 2.4 inch overage. 16.9 on 14 inch rims have 2.9 inch overage. Different brands etc will vary a little.

Back when Super W6 and Super WD9 were new 16.9 tires(14 inch) were put on 14 inch rims at the factory. It wasn't until the 706 came out that they started using 15 inch rims for 16.9 tires. So no problem with 16.9 other than they look a little big on a 656. I have had 656's setup with both 16.9 and 15.5 tires on 14 inch rims and both work well. My current 686 has the 16.9 on 14 inch rims. They look better on the 686 since it is a bit larger tractor(75 PTO HP) and needs more traction.

One thing to remember about putting 16.9's on a 14" rim- If you spring for radials (and some bias tires) they have a flatter tread design than older tires do, so it won't be perfect. Should work just fine, though. ;-) -Andy

Since I couldn't edit right now, I think the only problem would be that they could ride a little rougher with the center of the lug bowed up some. Probably not a big deal, but?? -Andy
