hi jim, u going to post pics of the running ones? how many do run? the impulse coupling must be sticky on that mag.

Thanks George, how would I fix that mag? I tried to holding the lever in with a screwdriver when I got it turning but it still quit after 2 turns.
I have 5 running including the 1 tandem.

unsnap the 2 clips and the cover will slide ahead. then i would spray some wd40 in there to loosen the lever up. then oil it. must be just sticky i would think.

I don't think so, I think it's a little bit of everything.
Go look here for pictures:

no, that mag is not original, they all use the same international mag. that one looks like a fairbanks morse.

why couldnt you start the second one by just driving the tractor with the one engine?

I could but the front one needs some work, possibly stuck starter valves?? On diesel it only runs on 2 cyl.

(quoted from post at 10:07:05 05/14/16) you need to take some of those 40's and give them a work out.
Ya, we'll see how I'm doing for time getting everything ready. There's also a car show/shine going on that Saturday that i would like to take my 67 C10 to, but we'll see what happens. The guy that bought that one with TD18 engine in it will have it in pulls I'm sure, I'd like to see that.

i was wondering if you got that monster running. i would say the rack is stuck in the pump.

whats the pully for on thr front and does it have a pto..........knee deep in rubber nice tractor..........dewy

The pulley is an electric start, a 12V electric motor hooked up to the crank. It actually works pretty good. No pto on this one.

(quoted from post at 19:00:38 05/24/16) When is the auction and where? They seem like some pretty solid old McCormicks
July 18th near Moose Jaw, Saskatewan. Look at the original post there is a web address for photobucket & auctioneer

I am in need of an air filter for an early PD-40. Got any air filters you might be able to put up pictures of? Thanks.

(quoted from post at 04:58:05 07/14/16) Do you have a w9 running ? When where is
your auction?
I don't have any W9's, I hope to have a WD9 running. I have good spark at coil wire but nothing at plug wires, hope to get back to it tomorrow.

FYI for those using classic view if you click "modern view" at the top right of WD40s OP way more posts to this thread are shown. At least that is what I see at this point viewing with my iPhone.
