Hi iam working on the farmall f30 I have drained the oil from back axle but where do you put the oil I can't find the leveling plug on the gearbox or the axle thanks for any help peter

Are you talking about the transmission or the the drop axles? Leveling plug for the tranny is on the front of case toward left side as your looking at front of case. Takes about 28 quarts, if I recall correctly. Drop axles take about a quart each. lThere are 2 plugs facing wheel at bottom.

the check plug for the transmission and reared is on the front left. Pipe plug seen here by my Heisler. Large pipe plug on top of transmission is the fill hole.(not shown)

The final drives are the two pipe plugs under the hub as seen here. Bottom plug is the drain top is fill and level.

The large fill plug for the final drive can be seen in the lower portion of this pic on the final drive casting, one is faces the rear one faces the front

yes, the entire belt pulley assembly uses oil from the trans, you will find that the packing seals on the belt pulley and pto like to leak. New packings will help, but thick oil helps the most.
