Picked up 2 Maytag Engines - anyone know anything about them

Since I post here regularly I wanted to post this here to see if any of you guys knew anything about these.......

I got these two engines at auction this weekend. I know nothing about them just wanted to get them since they were a good deal. I would like to get them running but need help because I don't want to mess them up by my lack of knowledge of them. I've tried googling. I've found some info but not enough to even help me decide what model they are. I THINK I have (2) model 92s. I did find out the serial number is on the flywheel but I didn't write them down.

How do these things get fuel and oil? Do they have a carburetor and gas tank?

Any and all information and help is appreciated. I've also posted this on the "Stationary Engine" forum.

I've been to that site and got some info but not really enough detail for someone like me who has no knowledge of these engines and what is needed to assess one to get it running.

They are model 92 engines, although the actual model number designated to these engines was according to what model washing machine they were originally attached to. If that makes sense!
The carburetor is on the back side of the crankcase, and the fuel tank is the base. They probably will need the points cleaned under the flywheel to get spark, remove the carb and free up
the check valve in the pickup tube, add fuel/oil mix and give it a kick!! If you need more detailed info e-mail me.

It is a t stroke with a hit and miss governor. It hits on a fire stroke about once a second when not under load. it fires every stroke when loaded. The points are under the plate on the side of the flywheel. The gap is listed there as well. The mix with modern 2 stroke oil can be 25 or 30 to 1 gas/oil. The "carb" is a vacuum actuated mixing device, not a true carb. It has an air valve, and a fuel valve. Each has a weak spring allowing crank case vacuum to pull in a combustible (and Lube) mixture. The spark plug has 1/2" pipe thread. The fuel mixture is set by a lever at the base of the carb. The fuel tank is the mounting base under the engine. They are radical smokers due to the fact that they fire only one in 20 or so revolutions at idle, causing radical fuel oil discharge into the atmosphere. They can make 1/2 HP or so. (my first engine powered vehicle was made from mine and was composed of a bicycle frame, and a wooden outrigger to mount the engine and a belt driven lawn mower tire for go, with an additional lawn mower wheel on the wooden frame to hold it up. (no pics). Using unleaded gas (with ethanol or not) is OK. Jim

Do they have a throttle adjustment or just one constant RPM ? Do you put the gas/oil mixture in where the small pipe plug is located??

My mother had one on a wringer washer when I was a kid. The only time in my life I ever heard her swear was when she was trying to start the thing.
