I've used a rubber gasket once and didn't have any issues. If it's like cork though you really have to tighten them down and maybe even go back once or twice and retightens them. A pair of pliers is a must...

Some have been tightened to the point that they are warped. Replacing is the only real option in that case. Put the glass up against the metal with no gasket, and see if it rocks on high spots. Jim

"looks like the rubber gasket was not designed to fit in the glass " if you have taken the rubber ring off and refitted it a few times to try and get it to seat it is oh so very easy for that ring to become distorted out of shape while you are tightening it up again . The only solution is a new rubber ring. (Been there, done that).

Also may want to check your screen. It may not be on square and may be pinching your seal. I had that issue with my 400 until I placed the screen on properly.

Well got it to stop leaking thanks everyone .but believe the fuel pump / injector pump is not pushing fuel got all the bolts and fittings off
but can not get the dawn thing out anyone ever taken one of these out ?
