H question - Answered

I went and looked at the 1940 H I'd asked about on here some time ago, between planting time and starting brush hogging, and decided that it just wasn't up to doing some of the jobs that my Ford was. Its too tall for some things, and too long for others. But, it got my wheels turning. I figured out that what I really wanted, was a 300 utility. It's roughly the same size as my Ford, but more horses under the hood. And I'm in need of something that will get under trees and around in the orchard a little better than the Farmall 300. I'd like to hear opinions from you guys on the 300u, pros, cons, etc. I'll tell you all up front I haven't found one yet, but I am on the hunt.

Thanks,

Mac

Well if your in Missouri or close I bet I know where you can buy one. I have a 300U that I am sure the guy who owns it would sell. There good little tractor but they did have one draw back the ones with out power steering tend to steer a bit harder then most tractor do. I even have a 2 bottom disk plow I would sell that works real well behind it

Yep I live just south of Camdenton which is the south west side of the Lake of the Ozarks. This is what it looks like. I built a super heavy duty brush guard for it years ago. The brush guard is made of 1 inch round bar so a guy could almost push a tree down with it

Old, we could technically be neighbors! You're about 3.5 hours directly north of me. I'd sure like to have it, but I don't have a way to haul it. I know my trailer wouldn't make it that far. I might hire it hauled though, so shoot me an email with specs. and what number you might have in mind.
