To continue my thread on the trans pilot bearing for an H, does the bearing look like this pic?

I spent a lot of time trying to find an after mkt.one for my Super M. Motion Ind. said out of stock, take something like 9 months to get, $99. Other companies had similar story for a hair less money. Finally called IH dealer 15 miles up the road, said yes, how many you want, about $53. It's a little different design than original but looks a hair beefier.

I went to our IH dealer yesterday. Only 3 miles away so I figured I'd start there.

I told the counterman what I wanted, he reached under the counter and pulled out a well worn book, thumbed through it to a transmission diagram, punched a few things into his computer, and said he could have one Wednesday (tomorrow) morning. $62.

I said, "works for me".

Now, since then I've found the bolt that holds the bearing on the main shaft was broken off in the shaft so I have that to deal with. I should have looked at that sooner. I tried the remains of the bolt that I have and it's soft enough to drill so maybe I can drill a hole and use an easy out. Might have to pull the main shaft with all the gears to do that. Which might not be all bad, I can check out all of the gears that way. Or maybe just get a whole better main shaft and gears from a fellow I know who has some assorted H's and M's for parts.

I have only been in letter series transmissions in my life, but on all three that bolt had backed out and was junk. You may be able to spin that broken bolt out with your fingers.
