Farmall A finally starts.

Finally got it running, but it runs a little rough. Seems to be running unevenly and when in gear doesn't travel at a consistent speed. It doesn't stall or seem to lack power, but it isn't running as smooth as it used to.

Choking it hurt or help?? If your carb is like the one on my BA you have no main jet adjustment and if it has a bit if dirt etc clogging it it can and will run poorly. Or you may need to adjust the valves since over time they wear and tend to close the gap between the rocker and the valve. Or your timing maybe off a bit of the advance in the distributor is not working as it should be

It seemed that taking the main jet cap off and spraying the main jet solved the no start issue.

I already readjust the valves, choke doesn't seem to affect it much. The motor seems to smooth out some under load when I have the pto, for the mower engaged.
