Working on a B414 and looking for info on Governor to Carb linkage. Anyone got a pic of it?

I think that when the tractor is off the Governor should be holding the throttle wide open, is that correct?
This one is only opening it
slightly. The rod has springs made into the ends, is that right?
Governor don't do anything when using the tractor. Any help, pics, or
suggestions appreciated.

If carb butterfly is not being opened with engine stopped and throttle lever advanced, most likely cause would be a broken governor spring (Key # 22).

Hi Phil,
I looked in my B414 Operators Manual and the only reference of governor was:
Governor not working properly Check control linkdge for wear. *

I believe * indicates consult your IH Dealer.

PS, never worked on a gas B414, only Diesel models.

Thanks for the info guys, guess I will take the governor cover off and see what it looks like inside. The diagram shows a throttle to governor rod like on mine.

someone had turned the throttle rod adjustment out way too far. That was the problem.
