hey guys, I had an old sheet of paper about that Farmall free gas cap offer. However, it returned to sender when I mailed it off the other week.

The address I have is:

Navistar International Transportation Corp.
Box 10088
Fort Wayne, Indiana

Is there an updated address for that free gas cap offer?

Technically if you already have a tall gas cap you are not entitled to a free replacement, if that kind of ethical dilemma bothers you at all...

The program is just to replace the short gas caps that are still out there.

Besides, the newer ones aren't as good as the old ones. They've cheapened them up quite a bit over the years.

. . . The program is just to replace the short gas caps that are still out there. . . .
As I recall, the old style tall caps (with a single vent hole on top) are also eligible.

I agree there are limits. Each tractor of the correct models should get one free replacement, not a lifetime supply.

Is it possible to buy a good, "safe" gas cap, a'la the recall version, for the letter and hundred series tractors? I did get one free for my SA a few years ago. The H came with one, but I just saw another SA that I'm working on acquiring that still has the low style - may or may not be original.

If it still has the low style, you are entitled to a free cap through the recall program.

Otherwise you can buy the exact same cap at any CaseIH dealer or through many of the aftermarket internet tractor parts vendors.
