Any special trick to replacing the charge belt on an international 350. I have got the sheave loose and widened out but belt will not go over fan. I t looks like the rad has to come out/ Any advice before I start

It is a PITA, but the belt will come off carefully by thrning t flat against the radiator. It is thinner out to in than across. Patience. By the way why take it off, just cut the old gen belt, and weasel the new belt inside it Works every time. Jim

The belt was already off when the tractor came in and had been off for some time. I did flip the belt sideways and slid it between the fan and rad but I can only loop it over 2 of the blades. it looks like it would have to be about 5 inches longer to get over all 4.I should also mention that it had been converted to 12 volts and an alternator and as far as I can figure a 27 inch belt should work but will not loop over all the blades

The original belt was 33 inched long. That may explain why you are having trouble getting a 27 inch belt over the fan. Can a 33 inch belt be used with the alternator conversion?

This is another reason I don't like to mess with people's electrical conversions.

WENT TO THE NEXT LARGER SIZE BELT AND MADE A NEW ADJUSTMENT ARM AND IT SLID OVER AND WORKS
