OK wrote this once and it vaporized so if its repeated I apologize...
anyone have experience with after market hydraulic pumps for a Super A? I'm looking at several sources with a $400 dollar price range...YT at $400, SSB at 600, All State Ag at $300...what is diff? Are they all made by the same place? Is one Chinese and one not (I doubt any are made in US!). Mine is too badly worn to be rebuilt according to my local IH guy. Any personal experience thoughts are appreciated!

The original ones were built here. So if you need a replacement you can find them used on ebay. What does he mean it cant be used again what happened. Since that pump is 65yrs old they can get wear but are usually able to be used again. I have a good used on for sale 100.00

Hi Gene
Shaft is badly scored and a lot of play overall. I asked about a speedy sleeve but he said would only help "slow" the leak and not cure it in his opinion. Leary about ebay used ones as I have no idea if i'll run into the same problem. Most used ones make no guarantee! When you say you have a "good used one" what is your criteria? I presume the seal holds and there is no blow by for sure?
Thanks!

Gear and shaft are good and no groves in the housing.. Too often they forget to bend the washer over the nut so when its in the tractor gear comes loose and wears the shaft beyond a rebuild.

OK I'll go for it...Just to confirm its going on a 1953 Super A. Will it need a new seal and manifold O-rings? Since this is a pain full way to converse...how do we talk/email in person to exchange info?

Hi . Gene can you help me ? I have a 240 Utility and the housing where the gears are has wear/scoring on the walls . The front seal must be leaking as the crankcase is filling with hydraulic fluid .
