806 sporadic power loss

Running the old 806 gasser yesterday pulling the disk it would run beautifully for 20-30 mins then randomly loss power and sound as if it starved for fuel. I could push in the clutch and it would regain power. Had the same issue with random power loss last fall with the bush hog behind it. Any ideas on what could cause random power loss? It's does have a cracked exhaust manifold but not sure if that would cause this because it happens randomly under load

Fuel starvation. Change the gas filter(it it has one). There is/could be an obstruction somewhere in the system. fuel line/carb
needle vave/tank outlet.Remove the carb drain plug,See if you get full gas flow for 3 to 5 minutes. If not, start at carb and
loosen fittings till you find the blockage.I have an H that does that. Crap in the tank gets into the fuel inlet

Not a 100% sure but I think those carbs have a fine screen in the fitting that screws in the carb
that the fuel line connects to. Also a screen in the top of the sediment bowl. Delta covered the
rest.

I know what your problem is and if i told you you would not believe me and it would just start a war that i am not getting into anymore . So what i will tell you is get and ORG operators manual and READ it , the part about FUEL . The down side is as of today there is NO cure for your problem unless ya want to swap out engines . as of this moment we have two 706's that are DOA and one 806 all with the same problem .

20 or 30 minutes could be coil breakdown, (see if it is as hot as a firecracker when it happens)or a plugged fuel cap vent!
