Hi guys, I have a C that has a zenith multi fuel carb on it that was running fine. Then started running rough and i
had to use full choke to keep it going and it loped and had no power like it was starving for fuel. I figured junk in
the carb. I took it off and cleaned everything and put an inline filter for the grav fed system. It ran a bit then
started doing the same thing. I have taken in off and cleaned it again and cleaned the little filter in the fuel line
thats in the brass 90 degree fitting going into the side of the carb and cleaned out the gas tank. Its still doing
it. I took off the gas cap to make sure its not a stopped up gas cap. Still doing it. Gas flows from the sediment
bowl and the inline fuel filter stays full. When it starts sputtering i can use full carb to keep it running but just
barely. Let it die and wait a minute and tap on the side of the carb and it will fire up and run for say 20 seconds
or a minute and start doing it again. The float is free and seems to be moving ok. Could something odd be going on
with the needle valve? I was careful not to alter the bend on the float. Any ideas? Its got to be the carb or is
there something else im missing. thanks
