300 rear main seal

Can anyone tell me if you can change the rear main without pulling the crank or how far you have to tear it down to change it? Thanks

Split tractor at engine rear. Remove flywheel and oil pan. You will see the seal retainers bolted on. Crank stays in. Unless they stopped fel pro made a kit with the seals and gaskets to do the job less the oil pan gasket. Around 10 bucks from NAPA for the last one I bought.

Here are a few pictures of doing a rear crankshaft seal on a Super M tractor, the 300 tractor is about the same, just a little bit smaller. They can be messy, oil all over the place, type of job. Once cleaned up you are good to go with new seals and gaskets.
