I put a new water pump on my Super M with Char-Lynn power steering and the pump leaks from the fan shaft. I have tightened the water pump packing nut but the nut seems to loosen and leak after running the engine. With the power steering I have to remove the radiator to re-tighten the packing nut. The pump is new so I assume the packing is good. What do you think about using Loctite thread locker on the packing nut?
