Have searched the archive's but can not find bolt torque for bell housing/torque tube to transmission, bell housing to block, steering gear housing to front of block, wheel bolster to steering gear housing!I have been looking at bolt torque chart's,and may have to go with them,if anybody has this information I would appreciate it!I under stand these bolt torque value's may not be available from International Harvester,I have my Super-C bolted together but do not want to over torque or under torque these bolt's since these bolt's are very important to Tractor's strength as these tractor's have no frame!Any help would be appreciated!

I dont think there are any specified 'specs' for those bolts. Just pull them good and tight. There is a list of torque values
on the left side side of this page.

I agree with Delta. The values can be found in a chart of torques for grade and size of bolts on line as well. If you are afraid of twisting them off, use the suggested torques. Jim

Ok,I will use the bolt torque chart to get these right,Thank you very much,DeltaRed and Janicholson,Appreciate the Information!

I never worried about torque. I get them as tight as I can. They're too big for me to twist off. I've yet to have them come loose.

Hello Dean Olson, yes they are pretty big bolt's,took everything back to the transmission off fifteen year's ago and marked and stored all bolt's and part's,retired, so now have time to put her back together, but from my memory those bolt's were very tight from factory, grew up on this tractor so I know Dad never had it apart,he just worked it and me hard and just fixed small part's and some flat's on front, still has original rear Firestone tire's on rear! Thank's!

Me and Kub6040 split my Super C just last March. all we did was tighten the snot out of the bolts that hold torque tube and bell housing together and now I'm working the garden with no problems.
