1086 ih ticking i trans. right behind engine clutch houseing

had our freshly overhauled 1086 ih on grain vac sucking corn out of a grain bag running about 3/4 throttle noticed i ticking like a connecting rod crawled under it sounded like it was right in the clutch houseing then there was 3 bangs and some clunking lost pto got shut off unhooked started again no pto 3pth hyd or steerin dad drove it in the shop no noise untill last ten feet.
any advice on what happened or what next move should be. its in shop now we were planing to start by taking the cover off underneath it go from there.

Shaft, splines or splined hub in clutch cover that drive live PTO and hydraulic pump have tore out/failed/broken.
 
Yep your in for a split . So what your going to need is a new clutch pressure plate , pilot bearing and throw out bearing a flywheel reface and a new IDPTO input shaft Two seals and a O/Ring ..

yes it was a in frame overhaul was getting water in oil sleeve #3 had a pin hole in it.
