Glow plug meter

(quoted from post at 23:07:18 04/29/16) 2nd.. are you holding the glow plug button while cranking? you must hold it down.

And held at least 30 seconds [b:e6550519c3]prior[/b:e6550519c3] to cranking.

We are all trying to help you get this beast started, but you need to start with some basics here. If I was there I could tell you in a minute if your glow plug meter and the whole glow plug system was working. From my key board I can only give you advice. You have to have current coming out of the glow plug meter to the glow plugs. A 3 dollar test light or a volt meter will show you these things. Just guessing from here won't make it run. You may not even have juice available to the glow plug meter or any where in between. Like I said before, one glow plug hooked at a time should show on the meter when button is pressed. If it does, you know meter is working , glow plug is drawing current and wires are hooked and working, at least some what. Don't burn up the starter and wiring until you do some basic testing.

(quoted from post at 23:02:11 04/30/16) 130 is better yet on a cold start.

I agree with that if down below 20° but we do not know where this guy is.

Here in the low 50's mine will start fine with 20 sec and at 30°
it needs a full minute.

Of course if he had a manual the starting procedure for various temps is clearly outlined.

As the glow plugs burn out and stop working,
u will see less result on the glow plug
meter. Meaning if it is not readi ng much or
at all u have one or more possibly all of
them burned out. Pull the glow plugs and
test them, alot of people will resistance
test them, which is fine but I hook them to
a battery and see if they actually work.
