I am running a 1710 9 shank JD chisel plow on my 1586. After about 4-5 acres the plow becomes very slow to lift out of the ground. It becomes so bad you have to stop and wait for it to lift. Sometimes you can help it in backing up a little. Oil level is good. What should I be looking for? Is my rear pump starting to fail? Thank you and have a great day. Perry

I just had that exact thing on my 1586. Glenco chisel and it was coming up very slow I did one more row and at the end it would not raise. A hose under the floor had a small leak. Just when I was headed in it became a large leak. I assume you have checked your fluid level and looked for leaks?

What year is your 1586 , does it have the open center system or the closed ?? The simple way is to have someone with a flow rater run a test on the hyd. system then you will know for sure , yea it will cost ya a bit but it could save you money in the long run.
