IH 510 grain drill depth?

I bought an IH 510 grain drill to plant soybeans this year. Everything appears to be in good order and I understand the seed rate setting. I don't see how to control the depth though and don't have a manual. Sorry for my ignorance but it's my first time planting beans on my small plot. Anyone know what you do to control the seed depth?

I have an IH 5100 drill which would be similar to your 510. You should have a hydraulic cylinder to raise and lower the drill. What you have to do is put some stop collars on the cylinder to limit how deep the drill can go. I think on my 5100 I have about 2 1/2 inches of stop collars so the drill plants about 2 inches deep for wheat & oats. You will have to experiment to find the correct amount of stop collars to get the depth you want. Anyhow that's how I do it. I believe my manual also states this. Maybe someone else has a better way.
