Super C Farmall transmission, differential & drive oil

I have a Super C Farmall. The transmission, differential and drive gears use a common case and oil reservoir. Does that take 19 quarts of oil? Can I use Gear Lube 8090? How do I check the level of the oil? Can a dip stick be made and then measure from the "fill hole?"

Feedback, thoughts and corrections are appreciated.

Thank you.

Gary

80-90 is the wright oil the level check is 3/8 pipe plug next to clutch rod on left side of trans. I have forgot just how much it holds .

from just coming out of the check plug (noted by Duane) to a half inch down from there. If it was noisy, you can use 85-
140.

My Operator's Manual states ;

Transmission case without power take-off and belt pulley 4? gal.

With power take-off and belt pulley 5 gal.

I think a dip stick is a great idea. I added one to the engine on my H, I plan adding one to the tranny too. Just haven't done it. Go ahead, do it and post back your idea. My idea, add a small 1/8" plug, then use a dip
stick stored in the barn.
