IH 700 plow

I recently got a 5x16 IH 700 plow. Had it in the shop and set everything up according to the manual. The steering pipe was all messed up and the front hitch wasn't set right it does have a sidehill hitch attachment to slide the hitch right or left and it is an in the furrow hitch. Went out and used it with our 1456 and it worked well except when I go to turn left the plow wants to roll over and acts like its going to flip. I do have the proper IH sway linkages and they are in the locked position. I have the three point hitch arms on the plow mounted one lower than the other as the manual suggests, could that be why it wants to flip when I turn? The book also talks about a vertical limiter but I do not have that could that be an issue? Thanks

The pins should be one lower than the other to compensate for the tractor leaning when it is in the furrow. The plow should lean to the left a little when the tractor is setting level, and should be level when the tractor's right wheels are in the furrow.

If the steering pipe was messed up, who knows what all else is messed up. I'm guessing the pivot points are all pretty sloppy and that's why you think it wants to "flip over" when turning to the left. Slop in the post in the front plus slop in the post in the rear plus the plow already leaning to the left to begin with...

Rest assured, the plow CAN'T "flip over" unless the front pivot breaks off. You might want to look for sources of excess movement and slop, though, and try to reduce them.

When you leave the furrow dont raise the 3point hitch so far. If set properly only the remote hyd ---tail wheel ----needs to be activated
