Farmall MD No Fuel To Injectors

First with the engine NOT running on gasoline, bleed the back fuel filter until fuel runs out vent with no air bubbles. Close the bleeder valve. Next, start engine on gas and open bleeder valve on the front filter(fuel should flow out under pressure from primary pump), close the bleeder valve while engine is running, check the gauge on the pump to see if there is pressure (fuel is flowing through filters and primary pump is building pressure). Open the throttle partially and you should have fuel at injectors. If not, then you have a problem inside the main injection pump.

Brian points to the detection. If it was in the shut down position when it was not being operated for years, the rack is probably varnished and stuck. I got mine free with solvent and hair dryer heat. It took a day of messing around to free it up. Do not pry on it with force. Jim

very simple check to see if the rack is stuck... just disconnect the throttle linkage at pump. then move the pump lever by hand back and forth. if you dont have at least 3" of travel then the rack is stuck.
