Boiling batteries

On my 656 diesel the batteries boil out the acid at times. Can I adjust the reg. to not do this? It has an alt. With separate reg. It came that way from factory. Thanks DTK

Replace the regulator! Also make sure the reg has a SOLID ground to the engine. A dedicated ground wire from the reg base to the ground stud on the alternator is recommended.

Bob is right a bad ground will cause that problem. Been there
