I went to an auction near Hudson, WI today. Was one of the fastest auctions I have ever been to. They only had a few small items and the rest was machinery, a combine, and tractors. Things when for variable prices I thought. The IH 1066 in good condition with 5000+ hours went for $13,500. A Super MTA brought $4000. A 830 Case brought about $1700. A John Deere 50 brought $2500. A John Deere 4420 combine with 2300 hours in good condition only sold for $12,500. A Land Pride bat wing mower brought $10,000.

The sale started at 11:00 am and was done by 1:00 pm.
 
12,500 dollars is plenty for a 4420 combine. Even the Mennonites here want 6 row machines so the demand is limited in my mind. The Case 830 is about right as they just do not seem to fetch a lot of money even though they seem to be a pretty good tractor.
