just brought my 1963 560 #5992 home yesterday. about as original as can get. it has only 5400 hrs. on it.the engine has never had the head or pan off, injection pump is all original too, never been touched. it has been well taken care of as it shows. starts easy and runs good . torque works. needs a valve cover gasket though as it has a leak but that is ok. so that proves the 282 diesel will last if taken care of. another not so rusty red to the collection.

-rustred"; Thanks for sharing the photos. I like'em in their work clothes and you've got a dandy their. Good photography work in the first picture - showing more than one side of you tractor. Do you know the history of your 560; any original literature; paperwork, etc. Love that snow too.

Great Find! Dads 560 diesel had 18,000 hours before the head was ever taken off. It was a main tractor for two years and then ran a corn sheller and pushed a cultivator for the rest of the years. 282's were great engines if they were not abused. Thanks for the pictures.

well the guy i bought it from said he got it from original owner. and said the guy was pretty picky. this guy only used it on his auger for a bit. then got another new yard tractor and sold this 560. im trying to get more history on it yet, as i collect nice original units. the painted stuff is worthless to me. i'll take a nice original unit anyday. once painted the value is gone too.
