head gasket or...

Noticed tonight that coolant low on my super c. Its been "steaming" out the radiator cap, not really surprising with these tractors and I have a very steep driveway that I plow snow on so I figured that contributed. I checked the oil and got a shock, its got water in it. I haven't seen any sign of of white smoke coming out, and I just changed the plugs a week or two ago and they hadn't been steam cleaned. I guess about the only thing that can be going on is a blown head gasket??

Water could be from sweating if you have that type weather. Engine coolant could be sleeve seals, gasket or crack. Drop pan and pressurize system and see if you can find a drip to see if outside sleeve or inside sleeve before removing head unless fluid shots out a spark plug hole.

Thanks, will do. I've got a compression gauge I can throw on it as well. I drained out about a pint of "oil" and I am letting it settle to see how much water is really in it.
