Sickle mower

I recently purchased a 1931 farmall regular that came with a 9' sickle mower. Can anyone give me info regarding the sickle mower. It is stamped ihc n has number m2057 stamped on it but cant find anything comparable. It is drawbar mounted and needs lots of tlc.
 
If you look on the guards there should be a number cast into them. MD-989 is a common one. Those show up on fleabay now and then. Some one will tell you what you have but you need to post some pictures. I rebuilt one and can tell you where to pick a lot of the parts up.

Looks like it is probably a Number 10. Helper spring is missing and of course it needs the wooden parts. It isn't immediately obvious what other parts may be missing. Most of the cutter bar parts are the same no matter what model it is.
 
I know nothing about this so if ur speaking
of the spring that attaches to the drawbar
mount, we have that. Its just not in the
pics. Really was trying to get an idea of
type so i can do some research and sell at
some point. Thanks for the info.
 
Large spring, one end goes on the hook to right center of your second picture. The other end goes to a bracket at the left front of the drawbar.

When you post pictures to get something identified, you should include all the pieces you have.

important in determining what i have? I
would have never guessed that. Sorry for my
ignorance. I truly do appreciate the info
anyone has replied with. Ill know next time
to make sure all parts are included in my
pics.
